As a part of coursework during my Master’s at TU Delft, I worked in a team with two others to design a cost effective small volume automation system for tractors used for transporting harvest in greenhouses. The system was to be installed on existing tractors imported from Italy and had to follow EU safety guidelines for automatic vehicles. The solution consists of  ultrasonic sensors  to guide the vehicle and a bumper with a mechanical safety switch .

An Arduino Board was used as the processor for controlling the ultrasonic sensors for the prototype (shown in slideshow). The figure shows wiring diagram for the sensor modules and LEDs.
